Proverbs 14:29

7 May

I’ve joined my church on a journey to read through the bible in a year — it’s been a real blessing….I really can feel personal growth from this….although there are many questions that pop up and many things that I’ve wrestled with to understand — but that’s a good thing too.

Anyway — today this verse struck me particularly — maybe because I’ve been feeling tired and overwhelmed with Bill gone during the week — but my temper’s been a little shorter than I’d like (I’d like to say shorter than normal — but I might just be kidding myself about that)

Anyway — a portion of today’s reading included this verse from Proverbs:

People with understanding control their anger, a hot temper shows great foolishness.

So here’s to greater understanding of what my girls are going through so I can be a better parent by guiding  and understanding rather than yelling.
