Book Review – Crimson Eve

13 Aug

Crimson Eve is the 3rd book in Brandilyn Collins’ Kanner Lake series.  When I read the author’s note at the beginning of the book I sort of scoffed at her comments about what a “buckle your seat belt ride” this story was….well….my apologies to the author.  This story was one heck of a thrill ride.  While the 2nd book in the series Coral Moon features a strong influence of the supernatural,  Crimson has none of that element — but is story about the past coming home in a very threatening way… know secrets are never a good idea.  Some of the story line is not unfamiliar and some of the characters a little on the cliched side, but overall it’s a great read that had me reading the final pages minutes before about 50+ guests showed up at my home for the church picnic — yep I was hooked.  🙂

Thanks much for your kind words about Crimson Eve. I’m glad you enjoyed this story. It turned out to be the favorite of the series for many of the Kanner Lake readers.

Hope those picnic folks got something to eat. 🙂
